Project description
Sohar City Center is a flagship 37,500m² mall located in Sohar, Oman. In addition to retail outlets, it includes a Carrefour, restaurants, a VOX cinema, clinics, and open parking for approximately 1,000 cars.
The brief
MAF aimed to achieve four objectives:
- Designing a commercial center that is aligned with the its well-honed leasing strategy
- Working with a consultant that is capable of managing multiple stakeholders and collaborating closely with the client
- Integrating sustainability features
- Meeting project cost guidelines
- Our response
- Working closely with client and stakeholders during design and supervision stages
- Designing a mall that optimized GLA at 37,000m2 and an efficiency ratio of XXX
- Meeting the full requirements for LEED gold rating
- Integrating cost awareness within the design process to help the client achieve economic objectives
